TONLE SAP LAKE & KOBAL SPIEN
Tonle Sap is a large lake just to the south of Siem Reap. The people live in boats, or tiny houses built on raised platforms. Kobal Spien is also know as the River of a Thousand Lingas. The lingas are carved into the river bed and are meant to spiritually cleanse the water that flows over them. Also carved into the riverbed are images of various dieties, some of which have been looted.
