Githio and Monemvassia
Pictures of Githio, Monemvassia, and the east coast of the Pelopenese.
Githio

Githio is a nice fishing town, and resort mostly visited by Greeks. A small island just off the coast is where Paris consumated his love for Helen, thus sparing the Trojan War.

Monemvassia

Monemvassia is a very beautiful old village which is approached by a causeway. There is little sense of the pretty town until you pass through the gates of a Byzantine/Venetian fortress.
