ANGKOR WAT
Angkor Wat was built in the mid 12th century under the leadership of Suryavarman II. It is a Hindu temple dedicated to Vishnu, and is the largest temple in the world (about 500 acres). The entire site is surrounded by a moat which is crossed by a long causeway from the western entrance. Several walls then surround a three tiered temple which is completely covered with fantastic bas reliefs.
