Trieste is a nice Italian town at the top of the Adriatic Sea, and only minutes from Slovenia and Croatia. There are a few ruins dating from the Roman times.

Miramar Pictures of Miramar.
Miramar is a castle just north of Trieste that was built by Archduke Maximillian of Habsburg in 1860. It has beautiful views, and gardens.



Grado Pictures of Grado.
Grado is a nice seaside village between Trieste and Venice. The old part of town is very nice, with very narrow twisting streets.
