Cyprus is a beautiful island that is surrounded by a lovely clear aqua blue sea. It has a rich history, having been invaded by many different peoples. This give Cyprus a interesting mixture of cultures from a mosque reputed to be the burial site for the Prophet Mohammad's aunt, to the legendary birthplace of the goddess Aphrodite and the wanderings of Ulysses in Homer's Iliad and Odyssey. There are also many medieval forts that are interesting. Here you will find photos of Paphos, Limassol, Larnaka, Ayia Napa, and the ancient ruins of the Temples of Apollo and Aphrodite, as well as Aphrodite's birthplace.
